Rock Doves

Finally did a serious acrylics piece this year! Was a lot of fun!

It's pretty small, a little bigger than my hand, but took about 10 hours to complete because of lots of little details in the feathers. I mostly worked with acrylics here, with a bit of aquarelles, on a carved wooden block that I got at an art store. After taking this photo, I covered the piece with a clear finishing varnish. Looks nice and shiny now.
